KEEP THESE THINGS IN MIND BEFORE YOU DESIGN YOUR BRAND LABEL
The major factors you should consider before designing your brand labels.
- Clear & Precise Copy
Copywriting that is design-friendly is essential for all projects, but label designs in detail. Since there is a limited amount of room, creating short and understandable copywriting becomes more important.
- A brand logo that represents the product & services.
- Units of measurement used to indicate an item’s size, amount, or weight.
- A brief statement, such as a tagline
On the backside of a package, there is extended information that comprises the following:
- A list of the components
- Product narration
- User guidelines
The product story and instructions for use are the two parts of this list that need to be drafted and edited the most.
2. Readability
When designing a label, make sure the text is clearly readable through font size and colour.
Use a font size that’s large enough, ideally for everyone of any age. The text should be sized above 6 points at the very least, and if you can, try to design the label with the most important information at 10 points and up.
The font colour should have enough contrast with the background too. If you can, choose a font colour that has both value and intensity. Bright colours are considered good options for type because they are supposed to influence a customer to buy. The colour choice should really depend on the kind of product though and its existing visual brand style.
3. Print Quality
To give the label the most visual presence and identity, print it on high-quality. It is necessary to consider whether you want a slick gloss, coated, or matte surface. You might want to go with something unique that rounds off the look of the product, such as the FINIX Label Design, which employs modern techniques to create a label that looks like a masterpiece of art.
